"Elizabeth and three of her children arrived into Melbourne in March 1854 on board the "Marlborough" as unassisted passengers:

Elizabeth Hale aged 54
Elizabeth Hale aged 28, School mistress
Henrietta Hale aged 26, Milliner
William Hale aged 18, Mariner

Elizabeth died of cancer three and a half years later on 12th October 1857 at the age of 58 at her home in Lonsdale Street, Melbourne with her son William present. She is buried in the New Cemetery (Melbourne General Cemetery), Melbourne." [Rosemary Hale]
